Porsche Design Bounce S² Collection for Fall Winter 2010
Porsche Design and adidas mark their eighth season of collaboration with the debut of the Porsche Design Sport Fall Winter 2010 Collection. This season spotlights a range of next-generation apparel, accessories and footwear inspired by the brand’s award-winning Bounce:S running shoe.
The Bounce:S² collection embraces leading-edge technologies executed in premium materials and features the iconic mesh “exoskeleton” of the line’s namesake shoe.
Porsche Design Sport’s Bounce:S² running shoe is the touchstone of the new range and the latest issue of the revolutionary Bounce:S.
The original was launched in January 2008 and has been subsequently recognized with Europe’s prestigious Plus X Award and the German Red Dot Design Award.
That same year the renowned “Time” magazine awarded the high-tech running shoe as one of the best 50 inventions of 2008.
Exclusively designed and developed for Porsche Design Sport, the Bounce:S features a car-inspired suspension system that transforms vertical impact into forward propulsion through a specially engineered pivot mechanism.
The result is superior cushioning and elasticity with a higher rate of energy return.
The upper’s innovative approach to comfort and design features a virtually seamless one-piece mesh shell that maximizes breathability and step-in comfort, while a flexible mesh “exoskeleton” builds structure and guards against abrasion.
